William Schar Is an Iowa born cartoonist and designer. He has been a world traveler since he was born, been drawing since he discovered art at the ripe age of ten, and has been telling stories since he could manage to cobble two sentences together.

He attended a highly accredited and internationally-known innovative school, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where he received his Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Comic Art in the spring of 2007.

While at MCAD, he was President / Editor in Chief of the student run comic arts club, Comic Heads. He lead the group in publishing two anthologies including the largest book the group has made to date.

His current base of operations is the Twin Cities in Minnesota where he works at his desk as a free-lance comic artist, colorist, illustrator and designer.

Professionally, he has worked as a colorist on several Marvel reprint omnibus projects, including Tomb of Dracula and Secret Wars II omnibi...omnibes? Huh. How do you pluralize Omnibus? Never mind. Other work include lead story-board artist for the independent feature film, "Regular Joe," and a designer for a small ceramics company. He also creates original stories and drawings for his comics, digital illustrations, pen & ink illustration and is trained as a painter, as well as having a background in the theatre as an actor and scenic and set designer.
